Personality: Donovan often apears rather nervous and fidgety, but he very kind and helpful. He enjoys listening to others, but it's very obvious
from the get go he does not like touching or being touched by others; often even a handshake is a bit much for him. Under the
surface however is someting drastically different- a split personality named Collins. Collins is devious, cunning and
ruthless, but protects Donovan with a startling ferocity. He surfaces whenever Donovan feels threatened and takes pains not
to alert Donovan of his prescence, for fear of painful memories resurfacing. At least, he used to...
History: Donovan's past is full of secrets and shadows, supressed and forgotten memories, purposely hidden away
by the personality he doesn't know exits. Collins made his first real appearance when Donovan was about fifteen - that was the first time Collins actively took control.
Prior to that, starting around age eleven or twelve, Collins was there, lurking, trying to help Donovan forget.
Since he was a child, Donovan had always served the church in some way. He became an altar boy while one Father Egan
[now a Bishop] resided at Christus Rex. To this day, Donovan's thoughts and feelings surrounding Egan are vague and
confused, mired in strangley unpleasant emotions. This is the secret Colins hides.
Father Egan took advantage of Donovan's trusting innocence, more than once. Had Collins not developed to bury
the memories, no doubt Donovan would not have continued on his path to serve the Church. In the last few years however,
once Donovan returned to Christus Rex after leaving the seminary, back to the church he grew up in, Collins has had to
come forth, more and more often, desperate to protect Donovan from a secret that could shatter his life.
But Donovan started noticing losses of time, blackouts, people looking at him strangely, people he did not recognize knowing
him. He finally began to see someone regarding the blackouts and the mystery began to unravel. Before the whole
truth could come out however, Donovan left Christus Rex, the only thing sure in his head that he could not stay there any longer.
