Personality: Robin is usually very mature and incredibly ambitious, especially
for someone so young. He's a figure skater - the child of a former award-winning
figure skating duo. He spends most of his free time practicing and competing and is
bound and determined to make it to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
History: Robin is the only child of former figure skating champions Frederick and Diane Keene. Former partners, they married and took time away from the ice to raise their son. From the time he could walk, Robin was in skates, and loved every minute of it.
But there was trouble brewing between his parents he was far too young to notice. By the time he was six, their fighting grew to the point where his father drank regularly. After one spectacular fight surrounding Frederick's numerous and repeated indiscretions, he stormed out, and drove off, still drunk. He never came home. His car was found hours later, wrapped around a tree.
Raised by just his mother, Robin never learned what caused the fight that ultimately wound up killing his father. He continued skating, but was faced with the new problem of making friends. Before he was even old enough to understand the word, kids were calling him gay for enjoying something like figure skating. If that wasn't enough, Robin soon discovered he really was gay, and tried desperately to keep it secret from everyone he knew.
After changing schools for junior high, Robin started anew with new friends
- ones who saw the up and coming figure skating champion not just some boy who did a 'girly sport.'
Robin started competing in county and state tournaments, quickly earning a name for himself
in the figure skating world. Everyoen knew he would one day be Olympics bound.
